工程力學(xué)專業(yè)成立于從上世紀(jì)60年代,1978年以來(lái)每年均招收本科生和研究生。依托本專業(yè)的固體力學(xué)學(xué)科,1978年獲華南唯一的碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn),2002年獲博士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn),2002年被評(píng)為廣東省重點(diǎn)學(xué)科。2004年工程力學(xué)科專業(yè)被評(píng)為廣東省名牌專業(yè)。 
 
     本專業(yè)側(cè)重道橋工程與建筑工程的結(jié)構(gòu)分析和計(jì)算,注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生解決與力學(xué)有關(guān)的工程技術(shù)問題的理論分析能力和實(shí)驗(yàn)技能。學(xué)生具有深厚的專業(yè)基礎(chǔ)、良好的科技素養(yǎng)和嫻熟的工程技能,特別擅長(zhǎng)面對(duì)和解決大 量復(fù)雜工程中的非標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的、無(wú)規(guī)范參考的技術(shù)與科學(xué)問題。 
 
     培養(yǎng)目標(biāo):本專業(yè)培養(yǎng)的學(xué)生不僅有扎實(shí)的數(shù)學(xué)、力學(xué)、物理和外語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ),還具有寬廣的知識(shí)面,包括路橋工程、隧道工程、計(jì)算機(jī)技術(shù)、管理學(xué)和豐富的工程實(shí)踐,既能熟練應(yīng)用力學(xué)理論和計(jì)算科學(xué)對(duì)各類工程結(jié)構(gòu)進(jìn)行力學(xué)分析、計(jì)算與設(shè)計(jì),又能利用較全面合理的知識(shí)結(jié)構(gòu)體系、良好的創(chuàng)新意識(shí)研究新型交叉的科學(xué)與工程技術(shù),使同學(xué)成為理想的高級(jí)工程技術(shù)和科學(xué)研究的人才。 
 
     專業(yè)課:高等數(shù)學(xué)、工程數(shù)學(xué)、普通物理、英語(yǔ)、政治、畫法幾何及建筑制圖、程序設(shè)計(jì)與算法語(yǔ)言、Java基礎(chǔ)、網(wǎng)絡(luò)數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)、數(shù)值分析、張量分析、專業(yè)英語(yǔ)、科技文獻(xiàn)檢索、力學(xué)概論、理論力學(xué)、材料力學(xué)、結(jié)構(gòu)力學(xué)、計(jì)算力學(xué)與工程軟件、板殼理論、彈性力學(xué)、復(fù)合材料力學(xué)、高等結(jié)構(gòu)力學(xué)、結(jié)構(gòu)工程塑性力學(xué)、流體力學(xué)、實(shí)驗(yàn)力學(xué)、振動(dòng)理論、土力學(xué)與地基基礎(chǔ)、鋼結(jié)構(gòu)、混凝土結(jié)構(gòu)、工程施工與概預(yù)算、工程信號(hào)分析與處理、結(jié)構(gòu)CAD、結(jié)構(gòu)優(yōu)化設(shè)計(jì)、現(xiàn)代測(cè)試技術(shù)等。
 
 The major of Engineering Mechanics was setup in 1960s, and from 1978, this major started to train both undergraduate and graduate students each year. In 1978 the Solid Mechanics discipline relying on the major was firstly authorized to award Master degree in South China, in 2002 was authorized to award Doctoral degree and became the key discipline in Guangdong province. In 2004, the Mechanics Engineering major was named Brand Major in Guangdong province.
 
 Students in the major will be trained on structural analysis and computation of road engineering, bridge engineering and construction engineering. We put stress on the student’s capacities of theoretical analysis and experimental skills on solving the engineering technical problems related to mechanics. The students will have strong major background, good science culture and adept engineering skill, and be good at facing and solving many technology and scientific problems in the complicated engineering with no standards for reference.
 
 Objectives: Students studied in this major have not only well-knit mathematics, mechanics, physics and English foundation, but also have broad knowledge such as road engineering, bridge engineering, tunnel engineering, computer technology, management science and abundant engineering practice. Not only can use the mechanics theory and computational science to analysis, calculate and design the engineering structures, but also can use the all around and suitable acknowledge structure and excellent creative sense to study the crossing science and engineering. The student will be the advanced engineer and scientific research staffs.
